Jenna Dewan Gets Candid About Her Pregnancy
Jenna Dewan blew fans away in late September when she revealed that she’s expecting her second child with boyfriend and Broadway actor Steve Kazee. While Dewan tends to keep her private life under wraps, she recently shared a few details about what it’s like to be pregnant again.
In a new interview with Us Weekly, Dewan (who is also mom to daughter Everly, 6) admitted that she’s “nervous as can be” about her second pregnancy. Her boyfriend said the couple is just trying to keep it all in perspective.
“I’m trying to just be calm about it and know that we’ve been doing this for billions of years, millions of years at least, so we’re going to be OK,” said Kazee, 43. “There’s no way to even describe how excited you are at this moment, but we’re beyond. We’re very happy. It’s an incredible experience. I’m, like, every day just in awe of the fact that there’s a life growing inside of this human being that I love so much.”
Dewan, 38, said she’s “not as nervous” to have a second child as she was when she was pregnant with Everly, her only child with ex-husband Channing Tatum. “The beauty of going through what I’ve gone through prior to this is that now I’m in the zone of like, ‘New chapter, new life,’” she said. “Like, I’m excited. I’m not in the stress of it.”
Dewan also recently opened up to Yahoo Lifestyle about being pregnant again, noting that she feels more balanced this time around thanks to her “deeper Earth mama sense.”
“I love being pregnant,” she said. “I’m much more aware of things, my dreams are crazy. I like to do all kinds of things like meditations and prenatal yoga, and I do a lot of things that kind of help you connect to yourself and to the life that you’re creating.”
Dewan said meditation in particular has helped her “let go and let the flow” in all areas of her life. “Surrendering and letting go and trusting has been a really, really big thing for me,” she said.
Dewan also told Us Weekly that motherhood has “empowered” her.
