Man Causes Stir After Revealing Flat Marmite Jar Sides Make It Easier To Scrape Out
It's everyone's favourite controversial spread, and it comes with one major drawback (apart from being "disgusting" according to the haters).
When you get to the bottom of the Marmite jar, scraping out the remaining goodness is nigh-on impossible.
It's a design flaw. The glass jar's curved base means getting a knife in is a hugely frustrating task. You can SEE the last scraps of Marmite clinging to the side and bottom, but you can't quite angle your knife efficiently enough.
Most of us would give up at this point - but one man has convinced people there is another way.
People were completely bedazzled.
One very polite man even wrote: "Never noticed that. Genuinely thank you for sharing."
One particularly hardcore fan had an even more extreme tip: "And for the very last dregs, swill it round with hot water for a Marmite drink (this is only for those that truly love it)."
Jess Brammar replied: "I too was excited about this, but then I thought - does that make it easier to get the last bit out, though?
"Could you get a good angle with your knife if it’s all on the side like that?"
All of which are really good points.
