According to Inverse, the man suffers from Hirschsprung’s disease, a rare congenital condition that can render your intestines useless due to an absence of nerve cells. These missing cells keep your bowels from properly contracting to maintain the flow of food through the digestive tract, nullifying the effectiveness of even laxatives (which the man had reportedly been using for years). As a result, this unnamed man became stuffed with food and feces to the point of appearing nine months pregnant.
