Writer Says Women Using 'Lubed Legs' To Seduce Men Must Own Up To 'Consequences'
Social media is a strange place, that much we all know to be completely, 100 percent true.
Every now and then you'll stumble across a post that will either leave you scratching your head in bewilderment or it will make you so mad you're simply lost for words.
One recent tweet from an American writer seems to have accomplished both of these things.
The bizarre tweet reads: "I am sick and tired of hearing women act like victims when they’re the ones who seduce men with their glossy lips and lubed legs, choosing to have sex because they’re too horny to stop, then complain when they get pregnant acting as if it’s all the man’s fault.
"Hey. Been there."
More than 3,000 people have liked the post, but over 8,000 have commented on it to share their opinions.
One wrote: "I didn't know lubing your legs was what brought the boys to the yard. I am so behind."
A second joked: "Lubed Legs is my new band name."
"So all this time I’ve been putting lotion on my legs for dry skin I was actually trying to seduce men??? That explains soo much," said another.
A fourth commented: "Listen lady, I lube my legs for myself and myself only."
In response to the backlash, McAllister told MirrorOnline: "A lot of focus has been put on my lubed legs comment, but people know what I meant. Oiled! It’s not that odd, just Google Gwyneth Paltrow and lubed legs, lip lube, and even Boob Lube Soothing Body Soap.
She added: "As for the substance of my tweet, I’m not talking about rape. I’m talking about women taking responsibility for what they freely do with their bodies.
"They need to stop blaming men for everything. Autonomy is wonderful. Women should have it. But with autonomy comes personal responsibility.
"If you want to make yourself sexy to attract some of that 'toxic masculinity' you obviously hunger for and then spread your legs for a good time, own it. No judgment here, just saying you need to blame only yourself for the consequences, not men."
