Alison Brie And Chrissy Teigen Have Ditched The Scale
To weigh or not to weigh?
If you’re goal is to be healthy size, it’s a valid question. Experts have been chiming in on both sides of that argument for years (as well as how often to weigh yourself). Some people think daily or weekly weigh-ins keep them accountable (and a 2012 study showed people who had lost weight were less likely to gain it back when they weighed in daily).
But for some it can lead to obsessive behaviour and unnecessary stress. If that’s you, you might consider an intuitive approach to maintaining a healthy bod. These celebs are also in favour of celebrating #NonScaleVictories and #ScrewTheScale and not focusing on the magic number.
1. Shay Mitchell
The Canadian actress has never weighed herself. “For me exercise is all about getting stronger. It’s not about weight,” Mitchell told Shape. “I’ve never even weighed myself. I don’t think you can trust the scale.” She says that exercise is about how she feels, like having more energy, being amped for the day and feeling strong.
2. Mandy Moore
The This Is Us star listens to her body. “There’s no real endgame for me with fitness. I’ve always been the girl who goes by how my clothes fit,” Moore told Shape. “I don’t weigh myself — I just like to feel good in my body.”

3. Alison Brie
The Glow star says she stayed roughly the same weight while transitioning from fat to muscle. “But I say that loosely because I don’t own a scale,” Brie told Women’s Health. “I haven’t weighed myself in years.”
4. Kristen Bell
The actress loves the challenge of fitness, but doesn’t have a goal weight. “I’m not going to try to be a certain size, or weigh a specific amount,” Bell told Shape. “I don’t own a scale. My goal is to feel good and look healthy.”
5. Chrissy Teigen
The model has ditched her old habit of obsessive weigh-ins. “I weighed myself like three times a day. I knew how much I weighed at 8 a.m., and I knew how much I was supposed to weigh at 1 p.m., and I knew how much I was supposed to weigh at 8 p.m,” Teigen told ET. “You start to realize that it’s not about the number on the scale, it’s about how you project yourself.”
